Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Staff Security Engineer (IC6) to lead incident response and drive detection engineering across our SecOps programs. You will shape the AI-native detection platform, orchestrate ASO roadmaps, and work with cross-functional partners to safeguard Robinhood’s ecosystem.

This role is based in Bellevue, WA, with attendance required at least 3 days per week, and offers high-impact work, substantial compensation, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in detection, incident response, or security operations.
• Proven ability to lead incident responses under pressure.
• Strong cloud security experience, especially with Kubernetes.
• Ability to read and reason through multi-language codebases.

Responsibilities

• Lead security incident response workstreams with decisive leadership.
• Build and maintain global detection catalog across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Architect ASO roadmap integrating AI agents and automation.
• Read and reason through multi-language codebases to identify security gaps.
• Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure real-time readiness.
