CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer – Fulfillment to drive back-end systems that enable scalable, reliable delivery of health services. Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development in enterprise / web / cloud applications.
• 5+ years backend software development with Java, Spring Boot and Kafka.
• 3+ years distributed caching experience.
• 3+ years cloud experience in AWS, GCP or Azure (GCP preferred).
• 3+ years building and operating microservices in cloud native environments.
• 3+ years technical lead experience in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable cloud native services with Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Apply design patterns, secure coding, automated tests, and observability.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and resolve data/latency issues.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and business to define roadmaps and KPIs.
• Enforce microservice resiliency patterns across integrations.
• Build real time streaming data pipelines using Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Deliver cost optimized, scalable cloud solutions with cost profiling.
• Own reliability, performance, and lifecycle of platforms with SRE practices.
• Lead technical risk assessments and architecture reviews with governance.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and promote technical excellence.
• Stay current on new technologies and tooling to improve search quality.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on architectural standards.
