Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in microbiology or molecular biology with at least 1 year PCR experience.
• Bachelor’s with 4+ years lab bench experience including PCR and aseptic techniques, plus 1 year as Team Leader/Senior Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Process operational, QA, and proficiency test samples potentially containing biological threat agents.
• Prepare reagents and samples for analysis.
• Maintain chain-of-custody (CoC) and interpret results.
• Perform routine equipment calibration, cleaning, assembly, and maintenance.
• Prepare written and oral reports for the Lead Biological Scientist.
• Adhere to GLP and QA/QC procedures.
