Job summary

A-TEK, Inc. is seeking a Molecular Biology Technician to perform non-research testing of samples for potential biological threat agents.

You will ensure chain of custody, prepare reports, and troubleshoot as needed in a fast-paced lab setting. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in microbiology or related field and has at least one year of bench experience with PCR and biological assays, plus eligibility to work in the United States (Green Card or citizenship).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology, molecular biology, or related course work in biological sciences.
• At least one year of laboratory bench experience, utilizing PCR, aseptic techniques and experience with biological assays.
• Candidates must hold a valid Green Card or US Citizenship at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-research molecular testing of samples for potentially containing biological threat agents.
• Ensure incoming operational and QA samples are processed with proper chain of custody; prepare reports.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment safely, including routine calibrations and adjustments.
