Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Staff Scientist to perform field surveys and prepare comprehensive reports for soil and groundwater environmental assessments, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs, as well as IAQ studies and building sciences. You will independently conduct surveys, analyze data, and craft clear reports while collaborating with the team to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in environmental site assessments (soil and groundwater).
• Proficient in MS Office; adept at writing technical reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Conduct scientific field investigations including soil and groundwater assessments.
• Conduct scientific field investigations including asbestos, mold, IAQ, moisture intrusion, and lead-based paint.
• Ensure project activities adhere to specific job requirements.
• Participate in periodic meetings to discuss project activities and safety concerns.
• Prepare well-documented written reports, correspondence, and communications.
• Evaluate contractor work activities concerning occupant and worker health, regulatory compliance, and public safety.
• Subject to baseline medical exam and respiratory exam for fit test.
