Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking a Staff Scientist to conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, field surveys, and IAQ/building science studies. You will analyze data, craft clear reports, and collaborate with colleagues to meet client needs across diverse projects.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in ESAs, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with MS Office for technical reporting. Strong field capability and willingness to travel regionally are required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental site assessments (soil and groundwater).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in MS Office with experience in writing technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Perform scientific field investigations encompassing soil and groundwater assessments.
• Investigate asbestos, mold, IAQ, moisture intrusion, and lead-based paint.
• Ensure project activities adhere to job requirements.
• Participate in meetings to discuss project activities and safety concerns.
• Prepare well-documented written reports and communications.
• Evaluate contractor work related to occupant health and regulatory compliance.
• Subject to baseline medical and respiratory testing.
