Qualifikationen

• 6+ years software eng experience; 4+ years in robotics simulation and validation.
• MS degree or higher in Robotics, CS, ME, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Hands-on with simulators (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Process Simulate) and sensor models (LiDAR, RGB-D).
• Proficient in C++ and Python; strong understanding of rigid body dynamics and solvers.
• Willingness to collaborate with remote teams across time zones and act as infrastructure owner.
• Nice-to-have: sim-to-real transfer, virtual commissioning, or digital twin projects; OSS contributions.

Aufgaben

• Build and own the simulation environment for manipulation, perception and navigation validation.
• Model robot platforms with physically accurate dynamics and actuation.
• Implement sensor models (LiDAR, RGB-D) with realistic noise characteristics.
• Create scene and facility tooling, including CAD import paths.
• Integrate simulation into CI so coverage runs on each release.
• Support AI team with simulation for data generation and policy evaluation.
• Drive virtual commissioning and digital twin roadmap, including workcell import.
• Quantify where simulation diverges from hardware and document confidence levels.
