Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. The RN will practice within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a Georgia RN license in good standing, and be BLS certified.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of RN experience preferred.
• Additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other certifications may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Operate within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act scope of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes promptly.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
