Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients while adhering to physician orders and established guidelines. Candidates must be graduates of accredited nursing programs and licensed as RNs in Georgia.

The ideal candidate should possess Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and ideally a BSN degree, with at least two years of RN experience preferred. This role involves working hours from 1PM to 1AM, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
