Job summary

Northside Hospital, a leading healthcare system in the Atlanta area, seeks an RN to provide bedside care on a 7p-7a schedule. You will implement physician orders, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians and the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.

The ideal candidate is licensed in Georgia with BLS certification and preferably a BSN, with two years of RN experience and additional life support credentials being a plus. Weekend work is required; on-call is not required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience suggested.
• Additional Life Support credentials or clinical certifications encouraged.
• Color vision required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and guidelines.
• Act within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.

Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

BSN degree

Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.

Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
