Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse in Duluth, GA to independently plan and provide nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines. You will practice within the scope of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and uphold patient safety and quality standards.

Required are an accredited nursing program diploma, GA RN license in good standing, and BLS certification. BSN and 2 years RN experience are preferred; ACLS/PALS or other units' certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adheres to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
