Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across age groups with a focus on safety and discharge planning.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), MA RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification. Epic experience is preferred. 32-hour weekly rotation with day shifts; unionized environment with MNA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Documents initial and ongoing patient assessment in a complete, concise, and timely manner according to policy and procedure of MHMC.
• Develops and modifies an effective plan of care including discharge planning for assigned patients.
• Applies knowledge to provide care for infants to geriatric patients.
• Initiates and coordinates patient teaching.
• Integrates, delegates, and coordinates patient care using interdisciplinary approach.
• Delegates responsibilities for care and makes assignments according to skills.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions per policy.
• Plans and supervises other caregivers on unit as a role model.
• Exercise independent judgment in emergencies and evaluate actions.
• Administers medication and treatments with aseptic technique per policy.
