Responsibilities

• Documents initial and ongoing patient assessment per MHMC policy.
• Develops and updates a comprehensive plan of care including discharge planning.
• Provides age-appropriate care for infants to geriatrics.
• Initiates and coordinates patient teaching.
• Coordinates patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.
• Delegates responsibilities based on caregiver skills.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions.
• Supervises other caregivers on the unit as needed.
• Exercises independent judgment in emergencies and assesses actions taken.
• Administers medications and treatments per policy.
