Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in alignment with physician orders and established guidelines, under the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The role requires GA RN licensure, BLS, and a student-friendly commitment to high-quality care.

Preferred qualifications include a BSN, two years of RN experience, and additional life support certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: BSN degree.
• Preferred: Two years of RN experience.
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit-specific certifications.
• Visual color acuity required for some units.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
