Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines at our Atlanta-area facility.

The ideal candidate holds a GA RN license in good standing, BLS certification, and BSN is preferred; two years of RN experience and ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications may be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients following physician orders and guidelines.
• Works within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensures patient safety and quality of care across shifts.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
