Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise patient care using the nursing process. You will provide family-centered care, thorough documentation, and collaborate with physicians and the health care team.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN), Ohio license, CPR, and may prefer prior nursing experience. This is a full-time day shift with hourly pay ranging from $33.50 to $49.60.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following: Diploma in Nursing, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR required.

Responsibilities

• The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process.
• Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care.
• Provides quality nursing care based on a family centered approach.
• Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
• Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process.
• Works closely with physicians and other team members addressing patient/family concerns to ensure a smooth transition of care.
• Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.

Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
