Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time daytime position. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care using the nursing process, while coordinating with the care team and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will provide patient and family education from admission to discharge, administer medications, and ensure alignment with FMC policies. Ohio license and CPR are required; lifting and physical exertion may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program with a nursing degree.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Must meet physical exertion requirements: lift/move patients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care based on a family centered approach.
• Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
• Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process.
• Works closely with physicians and other team members addressing patient/family concerns to ensure a smooth transition of care.
• Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.

Qualifications: Job Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following:
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR required.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
