Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a registered nurse for a 0.9 FTE position to guide patients through their care episode with safety and quality as priorities. A day/night rotation occurs with every third weekend.

Required: Ohio RN license, BSN or an Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, CPR certification, and willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS or other manager-determined certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires nursing licensure and ongoing professional development.
• CPR certification required.
• Willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients to move through their care episode prioritizing safety and quality.
• Delegates and directs care to LPNs, PCAs, unit staff and allied health personnel.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Maintains therapeutic communication and assesses physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
• Documents according to organizational standards.
