Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.

The RN must be licensed in Georgia, hold BLS certification, and meet nursing credential requirements. BSN preferred, with 2 years of RN experience and additional life support certifications welcome to support unit-specific care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required per American Heart Association.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other clinical certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Adhere to Georgia Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
• Collaborate with care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities, License Or Certification Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Knowledge Skills And Abilities/License Or Certification Preferred

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
