Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks a Staff Systems Engineer – RF/Hardware SME for System Integration & Test on 2nd shift. You will lead RF sensor system integration, define test strategies, and guide cross‑functional teams through complex troubleshooting to ensure timely hardware deliveries and customer testing.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, strong RF hardware expertise, and experience with MATLAB, C/C++, and firmware/hardware integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in a STEM discipline with extensive relevant experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAP access prior to start.
Strong RF hardware and test equipment experience.
Proficient in MATLAB, test scripting, data analysis and signal processing.
Experience with firmware and hardware control integration and C/C++ development.

Responsibilities

Lead System Integration & Test for RF sensor systems across hardware, firmware, and software.
Define RF/test strategies, develop plans, and set environments and objectives.
Guide multi-disciplinary teams through integration challenges and resolutions.
Collaborate with product design teams to implement root-cause fixes in hardware and software.
Present schedules, materials for technical design reviews, and manage engineering resources.
