Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Staff BIT/CAL Systems Engineer in Linthicum, MD, to join the Calibration Systems Engineering team on-site.

The role focuses on Cal Mode Integration, verification, and algorithm development for RF sensor systems in support of sensor performance objectives. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams, translate CAL requirements into tactical code, and contribute to lab and field verification efforts to ensure mission readiness and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, Master’s degree with 10 years of experience or Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in STEM fields; more experience may substitute for degree.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher; DoD Top Secret preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cal Mode Integration & Verification to achieve operational readiness and full requirements verification.
• Develop calibration algorithms and support software engineers through tactical code generation in C/C++ (MATLAB/Python scripts).
• Provide guidance to software teams; tie design results to requirements with traceability across development and test.
• Support system I&T and field testing focusing on calibration behavior and performance closure.
