Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Staff CAL Systems Engineers in Linthicum, MD for the BIT/Calibration Systems Engineering team. The role is 100% on-site, focusing on calibration modes for RF sensor systems and integration with other mode teams to meet performance needs.

You will develop, vet, and mature calibration modes and related algorithms, using MATLAB and C/C++ with Python scripting to support embedded/tactical implementations. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, Master’s with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years in STEM.
• U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to obtain SAP.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development.

Responsibilities

• Take existing Cal modes, vet, test, and mature them for operational use.
• Collaborate with other mode teams to tailor Cal modes for performance needs.
• Analyze Cal performance, identify deficiencies, and define updates to tactical code.
• Provide technical guidance to software engineers implementing fixes.
• Tie Cal design, test results, and verification to requirements with traceability.
• Support I&T and field testing to validate Cal modes meet requirements.
