Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry for a nursing job in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

Our Patient Population:

• 21 Bed unit providing care to Cardiac/Telemetry care patients.
• Diagnosis includes: Cardiac Arrhythmias, Congestive Heart Failure, Chest Pain, MI, Peritoneal Dialysis.
• Master skills in pharmacology, pathophysiology, laboratory value interpretation, and Telemetry.
• 7 South RNs are ACLS certified within 6 months and responsible to respond to all hospital codes.
• Supportive learning environment, team approach, patient-centric care to optimize patient outcomes.

Practice Development:

• Nurse Residency and Preceptor-directed orientation.
• Skills in telemetry interpretation, cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, Chest Pain, MI, Dialysis assessments, and interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards and policies.
• Provide continuity of care through 12-hour shifts, patient-centered approach, and team support.
• Become a valued member of a skilled, resilient nursing team committed to quality and compassionate healthcare.

Licensure, Registration, and Certification:

• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Experience:

• New graduates, newly licensed RNs, and experienced RNs welcome!

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist frequently.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, 20 lbs overhead, carry up to 40 lbs.
• Push/pull with 30 lbs force, perform transfers with assistance.
• Operate equipment, expose to chemicals, biological hazards, and communicable diseases with proper PPE.
• Functional speech, vision, hearing, touch, and fine motor skills for procedures.
