If you're looking for variety, our 23-bed medical telemetry unit (11LM) offers diverse patient care, including pneumonia, diabetes, opioid addiction, thrombus, PE, A-fib, chest pain, and more. You will work with a skilled team providing patient education, collaborating with social workers, pharmacists, dieticians, PT/OT, and physicians. You will also assist patients in managing their health at home.

Additional details:

  • Weekend Differential: $2/hr
  • Night Shift Differential: $5/hr

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care, involving patients and families in the process.
  • Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient condition, adjusting care plans accordingly.
  • Implement safety strategies, assess learning needs, and develop educational plans.
  • Coordinate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Evaluate outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and promote collaboration.
  • Identify safety threats, report incidents, and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Apply ethical principles, respect colleagues, and participate in team-based care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and comply with competency requirements.

Licensure, Registration, and Certification:

  • RN license issued by the practicing state
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program

Experience:

  • Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Progression in holistic patient care, recognizing and responding to changes confidently.
  • Proficient with electronic records and communication tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, delegate appropriately, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and perform physical tasks as described.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, and perform other specified physical activities.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous materials and infectious agents with proper protective equipment.
