Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in the United States is seeking a Staff Software Engineer – Data to help build the next generation of real-time data platforms powering analytics and data-driven experiences across PlayStation.

You will design, evolve RTAP, scale, mentor engineers, and partner with multiple teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities aligned with business priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/engineering.
• 8+ years building large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in real-time data processing and platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed data systems for real-time analytics.
• Lead RTAP architecture and improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Own platform capabilities end-to-end from design to production operations.
• Collaborate with data engineering to integrate batch and streaming workloads.
• Mentor engineers and defend technical quality across teams.
• Lead incident responses and reliability improvements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve scalability and cost efficiency.
