Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years designing and building large-scale distributed systems with real-time data processing.
• Proficiency in Python; Scala is beneficial for platform components.
• Experience with Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, or similar.
• Experience with analytics databases like ClickHouse or Druid; performance tuning.
• Experience building event-driven data pipelines with Kafka/MSK.
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to automate workflows and improve pipelines.
• Strong systems design with trade-offs in scalability, latency, throughput, and cost.
• Technical leadership: architecture ownership, mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed data systems for real-time analytics.
• Lead architecture evolution of RTAP and related platforms for scalability and reliability.
• Own platform capabilities end-to-end from design to production operations.
• Build and optimize data services using Flink, Spark, ClickHouse, Druid.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to integrate batch and streaming workloads.
• Develop AI-powered capabilities to automate engineering workflows and tooling.
• Set technical standards for distributed systems and platform reliability.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical bar across teams.
• Partner with Product/Infrastructure to define long-term strategy.
