Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer – Ground-Based Radar to join our team across multiple U.S. locations, including Bellevue, NE. The incumbent will develop radar algorithms, translate requirements to designs, and analyze system performance, working with cross-functional teams to deliver capable radar systems.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive experience and an active U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 12 years of professional experience.
• Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience.
• PhD with 8 years of professional experience.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience with MATLAB and code prototyping.
• Experience with radar systems and signal processing.
• Experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and integration of radar algorithms to meet system performance objectives.
• Translate system-level requirements into algorithm design and implementation plans.
• Perform functional and performance analyses of radar systems and mission modes.
• Develop mathematical algorithms for radar mode and sensor implementation.
• Plan and support software integration of system algorithms to model real-time behavior.
• Conduct trajectory threat analysis, mission scenario modeling and simulation.
• Support requirements development and derivation for radar system performance.
• Work within cross-disciplinary IPTs, providing technical guidance and leadership.
