Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is hiring a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Ground-Based Radar to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO, with alternate locations. The role demands leading radar algorithm development, system performance analyses, and cross-disciplinary collaboration within IPTs.

The position requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance, U.S. Citizenship, and a strong background in MATLAB, radar systems, and systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience in MATLAB, radar systems, and Systems Engineering lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate radar algorithms to meet system performance objectives.
• Translate requirements into algorithm design and implementation plans.
• Perform functional and performance analyses of radar systems.
• Support software integration of system algorithms for real-time behavior.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within IPTs and provide technical guidance.
