Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI, or similar) and backend architecture.
• Strong background in distributed systems and data pipelines using Celery, Kafka, Airflow.
• Experience with ad servers or delivery platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable ASP services powering ad delivery.
• Architect and evolve the Slingshot platform toward modern, event-driven, cloud-native paradigms.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams to deliver robust ad-serving capabilities.
• Partner with Data and ML teams to enable intelligent ad selection and pacing optimization.
• Champion observability and reliability using Datadog, Grafana, and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor engineers across teams and influence architecture.
• Shape long-term technology roadmap aligned with SiriusXM's goals.
