Job summary

SiriusXM is seeking a Staff Software Engineer on the Planning team to define the technical direction of ad buying systems within the Ad Sales Product Engineering org.

You will architect and evolve cloud-native backend services powering large-scale ad delivery and campaign planning across the SiriusXM and Pandora ecosystem, while advancing modern observability, reliability, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, incl. 2+ years in a Staff or senior leadership role.
• Expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI) and backend architecture (microservices).
• Strong foundation in distributed systems and data pipelines with Kafka, Celery or Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable, maintainable services powering ad buying.
• Architect and evolve cloud-native Slingshot platform.
• Drive end-to-end execution from design to deployment and monitoring.
