Job summary

SiriusXM is hiring for an Ad Sales Engineering role in New York. You will lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native ASP services powering ad delivery across platforms.

You will drive end-to-end delivery and collaborate across Product, Data Eng, DevOps, and SRE teams to ensure robust capabilities and reliability. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of software engineering, deep Python expertise (Django, FastAPI), distributed systems, data pipelines, and hands-on AWS/Kubernetes

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Python and backend architecture (async, microservices).
• Strong background in distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Sentry, Grafana) and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable ASP services powering ad delivery.
• Architect and evolve the Slingshot platform toward event-driven, cloud-native paradigms.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Eng, DevOps, and SRE to deliver robust ad-serving capabilities.
• Partner with Data and ML teams for intelligent ad selection, pacing optimization, and anomaly detection.
• Champion observability and reliability through modern CI/CD practices.
• Mentor engineers and influence architecture across teams.
• Shape long-term tech roadmap aligned with SiriusXM ad-tech goals.
