Job summary

Qualia is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Payments to own the vision, roadmap, and execution of our payments product from the ground up. You will drive end-to-end payment flows, introduce new rails, and deliver an experience that delights our real estate customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager building software.
• Experience building payments products across ACH, Wire, RTP, FedNow, and checks.
• Knowledge of real estate, title or lending industries is a plus.
• Experience with Agile product development, scoping, delivering to market.
• Analytical and strategic with data-driven decision making.
• Oriented toward solving problems through listening and negotiation.
• Experience creating roadmaps and presenting to executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with decision-makers.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Every year, trillions of dollars move through real estate transactions, yet the industry still relies on outdated, fragmented payment systems that slow real estate closings and create risk. Qualia sits at the center of the real estate closing workflow, and now we’re building payments infrastructure integrated directly into the Closings experience.

As Staff Product Manager for Payments, you will own the vision, roadmap, and execution of this product from the ground up. You will drive the development of end-to-end payment flows, introduce new payment rails, and deliver an experience that delights our customers and end users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the end-to-end payments product strategy, right from assessing market opportunities and defining the vision to shipping and iterating in production
• Partner with Design to craft a best-in-class payments experience tailored to the unique demands of real estate closings
• Integrate with multiple payment rails to maximize speed, optionality, and value for customers
• Collaborate with Engineering and Design to break ambitious goals into shippable, iterable milestones that deliver value fast
• Work with cross-functional teams such as Strategy, Legal, Risk, Operations, Bank Partners, and Product Marketing to build high-impact features
• Maintain a prioritized roadmap that maximizes customer value while balancing technical complexity and risk
• Write crisp, compelling product requirements documents that clearly frame the problem, success criteria, and context
• Analyze adoption and engagement data rigorously, using what you learn to sharpen priorities and improve the product with every iteration

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager building exceptional software products
• Proven experience building payments products spanning multiple payment methods: ACH, Wire, RTP, FedNow, and checks
• Knowledge of real estate, title, lending, or insurance industries is a plus
• Experience with Agile Product Development methodologies and scoping, executing, and delivering products to market
• Analytical and strategic with a proven track record of using data to validate assumptions
• Oriented towards solving problems through listening, disambiguating, asking questions, and negotiating trade-offs
• Experience creating roadmaps and communicating them to executives
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with high-level decision-makers

While this role is based in Austin, Texas, we’re open to exploring remote possibilities for qualified candidates. We have other physical office locations in San Francisco, California, and Concord, New Hampshire.
