Job summary

BambooHR LLC is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own BambooHR’s public APIs, SDKs, and developer portals end-to-end. You will coordinate with partnerships, customer developers, and AI agents to define what to build and how to monetize it within the ecosystem.

You’ll set API and protocol standards, drive developer experiences, and lead cross-team alignment with engineers and architects. This is a senior IC role with no direct reports, based in Utah with hybrid work expectations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management on developer platforms, public APIs, or partner ecosystems.
• Experience defending build-versus-partner economics and owning revenue plans.
• Technical depth in API design and authentication patterns.
• Comfort with open protocols and developer onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Own the integration-category roadmap for partnerships, ensuring alignment with available products.
• Co-own category revenue assumptions with VP of Partnerships.
• Own public API and SDK roadmap to enable partner builds.
• Run the developer portal with self-service on-boarding and docs.
• Oversee BambooHR's AI ecosystem presence and marketplace strategy.
• Lead API-first governance with internal teams and ensure compliant releases.
• Collaborate with security and identity teams on authorization models.
• Guide partner integration teams and set cross-team standards.
• Measure ecosystem success via developer adoption and revenue influence.
