Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to shape future technology in our Research & Development team in San Jose. You will merge creativity with deep technical expertise, guiding design reviews, characterization, and manufacturing optimization.

The role requires 5+ years in semiconductors, expertise in NOR/NAND Flash and reliability testing, and strong skills in Python/C/C++. You will mentor engineers and drive strategic projects across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
Strong knowledge of NOR and/or NAND Flash architectures and datasheet compliance.
Experience with device and package reliability testing and failure analysis.
Proficiency in data analysis and automation (Python, C/C++, Perl).
Hands-on experience with bench characterization and ATE platforms (Teradyne, Advantest).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Design Engineering to review designs for standards, manufacturability and quality objectives.
Lead product and process characterization to validate performance against datasheets and optimize processes.
Support high-volume manufacturing with documentation, yield monitoring, and cost improvements.
Serve as technical resource for quality and reliability, perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Oversee development, testing, packaging, and test program maintenance with flow optimization.
