Job summary

ROLR in New York is seeking a Staff Product Engineer (AI-Native) to own the design system and prototype across surfaces from mobile to desktop. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering and report to the Chief Product Officer.

The role demands 8+ years shipping software, strong design judgment, and experience with full-stack production apps. You will explore AI tooling, edge patterns, and rapid prototyping to move ideas to production while learning quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production software across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and internal tooling.
• Build AI-powered workflows and tools for the wider Product and Engineering teams.
• Experiment with emerging AI development patterns, including agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, agent harnesses, and skill-based tooling.
• Develop approaches to prompt and context engineering, agent evaluation, and AI-assisted testing.
• Influence product direction through working prototypes and experimentation.

ABOUT ROLR

ROLR is building a prediction markets platform delivering the frontier of trading on sports, culture, economics, AI, commodities, and geopolitics.

You’ll be on a nimble startup-like team within a public company. We're building with an AI-native approach, using new tools and development patterns to reduce the distance between an idea and a production product. This role sits at the intersection of product design and full-stack engineering and complements our Head of AI, who owns the company-wide AI strategy and internal AI tooling roadmap.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Staff Product Engineer (AI-Native) to join our team in New York.

This is a hybrid product, design, and engineering role for someone with strong creative and design fundamentals who ships production software. You'll own the design system, prototype across every product surface - from a casual mobile app and prosumer desktop terminal to CLI and embedded experiences - and use frontier AI tooling to compress the time between idea and production.You'll report to the Chief Product Officer, with a close working relationship with the Head of AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop ROLR's design system across web and React Native: paired components behind a single prop API, tokens, themes, and automated gates


• Design and prototype new customer experiences across mobile, web, desktop, and other product surfaces


• Partner with Product Management to identify customer problems and translate them into simple product experiences


• Rapidly prototype and test ideas before significant engineering investment


• Design, build, and ship production software across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and internal tooling


• Build AI-powered workflows and tools for the wider Product and Engineering teams


• Experiment with emerging AI development patterns, including agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, agent harnesses, and skill-based tooling


• Develop approaches to prompt and context engineering, agent evaluation, and AI-assisted testing


• Influence product direction through working prototypes and experimentation - speed matters, but learning matters more

You’ll need to:

• Have 8+ years of experience building software products


• Have strong product design fundamentals and exceptional product judgment


• Have strong full-stack engineering experience with production applications

What We Offer

• Base salary range: $200,000–$260,000 per year. Offers will be positioned within the range based on experience and qualifications
