Job summary

Checkr, Inc. is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join the Growth team in a self-serve, product-led strategy. You will own funnel optimization, NUX, and personalized flows, leveraging AI to enhance customer experiences and drive conversions.

You’ll build growth systems, run experiments, and ship features, while collaborating with analytics, design, and product partners to deliver delightful SMB-friendly experiences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional design experience.
• 4+ years on Growth teams or in ecommerce/merchandising driving conversion.
• Experience onboarding and merchandising surfaces; iterative experimentation (A/B).
• Ability to conduct UX research independently and advocate for users.
• Balance craft, critical thinking, and business needs to deliver holistic UX.
• Nice to have: experience with B2B focusing on SMBs.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the Growth team; help define the roadmap, vision, and lead design work.
• Own design for funnel optimization, NUX, and personalization for guided flows.
• Leverage AI to create personalized customer experiences.
• Design growth systems, experiments, and new product features from insights to testable ideas.
• Champion seamless, delightful experiences for SMB users.
• Facilitate workshops to generate winning ideas with the team.
• Distill complex information into simple user experiences from brainstorming to high-fidelity delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to build user-friendly, business-driven products.
• Participate in UX research and apply insights to designs; advocate for users.
