Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to build AI-powered interfaces across the Go, Mail, Docs, and enterprise surfaces. You will craft real-time chat experiences, inline agent suggestions, and rich editors using React and TypeScript.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and ML/AI teams to translate AI capabilities into intuitive user experiences, while ensuring high availability and scalable UI across surfaces.

Qualifications

• Excellent software engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Comfort working with AI-powered features and integrating AI/ML into product surfaces.
• Fluency with AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.).
• Deep understanding of continuous integration and delivery methods.
• Strong product instincts — you care about the end-user experience and high quality.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and manage priorities across projects.

Responsibilities

• Build the interfaces for AI-powered products used by millions, including real-time chat and agent tools.
• Design and implement rich, responsive UI in React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate across the Go, Mail, Docs, Grammarly, and enterprise surfaces.
• Aim for high availability for both consumer and enterprise customers.
• Address complex interaction design, streaming content, and multi-surface flows.
• Partner with Product, Design, and ML/AI teams to translate AI into UI.
• Contribute to engineering culture with documentation, testing, and user focus.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers on the team.
