Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego is seeking a Staff Principal Electronics Engineer - Networks to design, implement, and optimize secure enterprise networks for the MQ-4C Triton program. Expect collaboration across engineering teams, documentation upkeep, and on-site work with possible teleworker days at manager discretion.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, a STEM degree with extensive experience, and Cisco network device expertise. Occasional travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II (or higher) certification such as CCNA Security, Security+CE, CCNP, or CISSP.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with years of related engineering experience; Master’s/PhD optional with more experience.
• Experience with airborne networks, tactical links, satellites and BLOS/LOS links.
• Experience configuring Cisco network devices and understanding IPv4, BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain secure network infrastructure (Routers/Switches/Firewalls).
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex network issues.
• Create network documentation, diagrams and standards.
