Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer Electronics - Networks in San Diego, CA to advance Mission System Network solutions. You will craft architectures, analyze performance, manage interfaces, and validate requirements as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires on-site work with potential hybrid telework at manager’s discretion and up to 25% travel. DoD Secret security clearance is mandatory; higher clearances preferred.

Qualifications

• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II (or higher) certification required.
• Solid understanding of Cisco IOS and IP subnetting; routing protocols (OSPF/EIGRP).
• Config/troubleshoot Cisco routers/switches with Cisco IOS.
• Understanding of DMVPN/GRE/IPSEC tunnels.
• Experience with network defense systems (firewalls/ACLs/IDS/IPS).
• Windows and Linux network configurations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, allocate and flow down requirements in system architecture.
• Design and develop network architecture; perform integration and testing.
• Conduct trade studies; analyze performance and TRL readiness.
• Document designs with schematics and specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate network solutions.
