Job summary

Meta is seeking a Staff-level Engineering Product Configuration Manager to lead the configuration strategy across hardware and systems engineering programs. You will own the CM framework, BOM governance, and change management, ensuring product definitions are accurate and traceable through the lifecycle.

You will partner with hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management to drive audits, baselines, and readiness reviews, coordinating across multiple product generations at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in engineering product configuration management or PLM.
• Experience governing bill of materials structures, part numbering, and revision control.
• Experience leading configuration control boards or engineering change reviews across multiple domains.
• Experience with PLM systems (Agile, Windchill, Arena) for baseline management and change workflows.
• Ability to collaborate across hardware, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end product configuration management strategy and governance across hardware programs.
• Lead engineering change management processes including evaluation of feasibility, cost, and schedule impact.
• Audit BOM accuracy and integrity with cross-functional teams to maintain validated product definitions.
• Establish and enforce identification standards, part numbering, and revision control across engineering and manufacturing.
• Drive configuration audits to verify conformance to design docs and specs.
• Collaborate with supply chain to assess impact on component availability and inventory disposition.
• Develop CM plans, policies, and tooling standards scalable across programs and generations.
