Gemini seeks a Staff Platform Security Engineer to advance zero-trust foundations and security automation across cloud environments, primarily AWS, with production-grade software development. You will design security controls, build scalable security platforms, and partner with engineering teams to enable secure delivery at scale.

This hands-on role requires strong Python/Go development, Terraform expertise, and deep knowledge of cloud security, Kubernetes, and SRE principles.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering or related field.
• Strong software development skills in Python or Go with production services experience.
• Deep knowledge of AWS security, IAM, VPC, KMS, and native services.
• Extensive Terraform expertise including modules, CI/CD gates, and remote state management.
• Kubernetes security experience: admission controls, RBAC, network policies, runtime protections.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and SRE principles.
• Ability to build, deploy, and maintain security tools in production.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain security services, tools, and automation using Python or Go.
• Design and implement security controls for AWS and Kubernetes using infrastructure-as-code.
• Create reusable libraries, frameworks, and platforms enabling secure-by-default patterns.
• Develop automated security monitoring, scanning, and remediation services.
• Build CI/CD security gates and policy-as-code validation tools.
• Partner with engineering teams on architecture decisions and provide security guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical security incidents and infrastructure issues.
