Gemini is seeking a Senior Manager for Platform Security in New York who will lead the security engineering team, architect solutions alongside engineers, and contribute code and IaC. The role requires strong AWS and Kubernetes experience and a track record of shaping security programs within hypergrowth environments.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of leadership experience for cloud-native engineering and/or security teams, with strong preference for AWS-based organizations.
• 10+ years of direct, technical experience in Platform Engineering or Security roles, with hands-on coding/IaC in the last 2–3 years.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic and technical leadership of Gemini's Platform Security team, architecting security solutions alongside engineers.
• Align team strategy with business needs and partner security leadership.
• Enable team growth through hiring plans and hands-on mentorship, reviewing designs and PRs.
• Establish a Platform Security roadmap to increase maturity and reduce toil via automation.
• Serve as a senior escalation point and contribute code/IaC when required.
• Foster trustful relationships with partner teams and meet security outcomes.
• Develop security policies, standards, and guidelines to satisfy GRC and audits.
• Define program KPIs to measure success and gaps in the mission.
• Provide guidance on architecture, security engineering, and business goals.
• Define a customer-first process with self-service solutions to reduce friction.
