Job summary

Coinbase is hiring Staff Software Engineers for the Developer Infrastructure group in Platform. You will own tools and systems used by thousands of Coinbase engineers, focusing on scalable CI and build infrastructure and deployment orchestration.

You will set technical direction and drive delivery from ambiguous problems through production operations. You will lead cross-team initiatives, improve build and deploy metrics, and partner with engineering customers and leadership to shape technical

Qualifications

8+ years building and operating production distributed systems.
Hands-on proficiency in Go or a comparable systems language.
Experience with CI/CD, build systems, or deployment tooling.
Proven ability to design and ship backend/platform systems used by many engineers and services.
Technical leadership on cross-team initiatives and architectural direction.
Strong communication and mentorship in design reviews and code reviews.

Responsibilities

Own core developer infrastructure platforms including CI/build systems and deployment orchestration.
Identify high-leverage problems and turn ambiguous challenges into concrete roadmaps.
Drive improvements to build, CI wall time, deploy speed, and developer feedback latency.
Lead large-scale platform migrations end-to-end across many teams.
Raise reliability by owning SLOs, observability, and on-call practices.
