Job summary

Coinbase in the United States is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Developer Infrastructure group. You’ll design, build, and operate core services that power engineering productivity across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.

You’ll mentor engineers, lead cross-team design efforts, and push high-impact platform improvements with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and scalable performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with strong distributed systems fundamentals.
• Go or similar language experience with backend/platform systems ownership from design to production.
• Strong focus on reliability, security, and observability in large-scale systems.
• Clear communication and ability to drive projects independently while collaborating across teams.
• Experience in developer infrastructure domains such as CI/CD, build systems, and test tooling.
• Experience operating at scale with Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and containers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve key engineering productivity metrics including build/CI time, deploy speed and safety, and test feedback quality.
• Partner with engineering teams to understand pain points and drive platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and push them through production.
• Mentor engineers and shape the technical direction of the platform.
