Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer, Security to build security tooling and implement controls across Azure and AWS. You will own security projects from design through implementation in a fast-paced, AI‑native environment, with direct impact on cloud platforms and production workloads.

This hands‑on role requires strong Python/Go skills, Terraform, and PKI expertise, plus the ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• 10+ years of experience securing production cloud environments at scale across Azure and AWS.
• Strong software development skills in Python (preferred) and/or Go with experience building security tooling.
• Strong Terraform skills including module design and infrastructure‑as‑code security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build security tooling, automation, and services for cloud security—implementing secure patterns for engineering teams.
• Implement security best practices and provide input on cloud security, IAM architecture, network security, and infrastructure‑as‑code
• Maintain security controls across Azure and AWS, including IAM, networks, and encryption.
• Operate and enhance PKI infrastructure (AWS Private CA, Vault) and manage certificate lifecycles and mTLS.
• Collaborate with Kubernetes Security Engineer to unify PKI across cloud and container environments.
• Design multi-account, multi‑VPC network topologies and diagnose connectivity/security issues.
