Job summary

CoreWeave, The Essential Cloud for AI, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the reliability and performance of its Kubernetes-based data platform. You will architect and operate highly available, multi-region systems designed to meet stringent uptime and latency standards.

You will scale infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, strengthen security, and contribute to building production-ready systems from day one.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Platform/Infrastructure Engineering or scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with data platforms using Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or Flink.
• Deep Kubernetes design, operations, and production troubleshooting.
• Proven track record building CI/CD pipelines with Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
• Ownership of mission-critical systems with high availability and incident response.
• Hands-on experience in distributed systems, databases, and backend APIs.
• Designing multi-region, geo-replicated architectures with traffic routing and failover.
• Observability: metrics, logging, and tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• IaC tooling experience with Helm, Terraform, or Pulumi; automated environment provisioning.
• Performance tuning and capacity planning for distributed environments.
• Cloud-native security: secrets management and network policy controls.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of the reliability and performance of our Kubernetes-based data platform.
• Architect and operate highly available, multi-region systems meeting uptime and latency standards.
• Scale infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, and strengthen security posture.
• Build, test, and manage scalable systems that are production-ready from day one.
