CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the reliability and performance of our Kubernetes-based data platform. You will architect and operate highly available, multi-region systems designed to meet stringent uptime and latency standards.

Your day-to-day will span scaling infrastructure, optimizing pipelines, and strengthening security while ensuring production-ready solutions from day one. You will contribute to data platform workloads, implement observability, and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years in Platform/Infrastructure Engineering or distributed systems with strong software design and problem solving.
• Data Platform experience with data workloads, distributed processing, or streaming (Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Flink).
• Kubernetes cluster design, day-to-day operations, production troubleshooting in containerized environments.
• CI/CD pipelines with Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
• Production ownership of highly available systems (≥99.99% uptime) with incident response and SLO/SLI management.
• Distributed systems experience in databases and backend APIs.
• Multi-region, geo-replicated architectures with traffic routing and failover strategies.
• Observability with metrics, logs, tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• IaC tooling (Helm, Terraform, Pulumi) and automated provisioning.
• Performance tuning and capacity planning in distributed setups.
• Cloud-native security practices incl. secrets, network policies, vulnerability scanning.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and performance of Kubernetes-based data platform from end to end.
• Architect and operate highly available, multi-region systems with strict uptime targets.
• Scale infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, and strengthen security posture.
• Build, test, and manage scalable systems that are production-ready from day one.
