Job summary

Procore Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Government Engineering team in a hybrid role based in Austin, TX. You will design and maintain secure, compliant platform services supporting FedRAMP initiatives and cloud infrastructure across traffic, identity, and enforcement layers.

You will lead migrations, IAM and zero-trust implementations, and cryptographic compliance, mentoring engineers while leveraging modern tooling to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software or infra engineering experience with FedRAMP exposure.
• Proficiency in Golang, Typescript, or Python for platform infra and automation.
• Deep IAM design and zero-trust principles in cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes clusters and secure secret management.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST controls, and compliance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain platform services for secure, compliant infrastructure.
• Lead migrations to centralized, compliant pipelines and service mesh architectures.
• Implement IAM architectures within FedRAMP boundaries and SSO, RBAC capabilities.
• Enforce cryptographic standards with NIST-certified modules and TLS configurations.
• Translate regulatory controls into automated technical implementations.
• Develop production-grade software and mentor engineers on compliant design patterns.
• Leverage AI tools to improve coding efficiency and platform delivery.
