Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced technical leader to architect and deliver the developer tooling platform for AI coding agents. You will own how code is written and shipped, collaborating with engineering teams to define roadmaps and ensure reliability.

You will mentor engineers, drive design reviews, and optimize for performance and cost while maintaining high standards for uptime and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, building, and running distributed backend systems in production.
• Experience owning the design of developer tools, CI/CD systems, or internal platforms used by hundreds of engineers.
• Hands-on experience with large language models and coding agents; you use AI coding tools daily.
• Experience running services with uptime targets; defining SLAs and incident ownership.
• Good judgment on performance and cost tradeoffs; making systems cheaper to run.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of systems that run coding agents against the codebase and integrations with Linear, GitHub, Claude, and Cursor.
• Own the end-to-end developer workflow from ticket to merged change; identify bottlenecks and improve tooling.
• Operate production infrastructure with clear ownership, monitoring, uptime targets, and incident accountability.
• Oversee platform cost for agent runs and development environments, keeping spend aligned with value delivered.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, reviews, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with other teams to align workflows and roadmap for tooling capabilities.
• Mentor engineers across the pod and organization.
