Job summary

Skydio is seeking an experienced Developer Tools Engineer to build and extend an agentic coding platform that integrates AI agents into the daily workflow of hundreds of engineers. You will work across codebases, CI, and internal infrastructure to deliver secure tools that boost development velocity, while collaborating with firmware, autonomy, cloud, and app teams to resolve workflow bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building developer tools, infrastructure, or platform systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools and agents: you’ve built with them, not just used them.
• Strong grounding in Python/Go/TypeScript/C++, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure AWS/GCP.
• A product mindset toward internal users: you talk to them, ship quickly, and iterate.
• Experience with security-sensitive environments or monorepos.

Responsibilities

• Build the platform that puts AI coding agents into the daily workflow of hundreds of Skydio engineers.
• Work across codebase, CI, and internal infrastructure to produce secure tools that increase development velocity.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify time sinks and build tools to reclaim time.
• Design guardrails such as permissions, secrets handling, and auditability for trusted agents.
• Embed with teams across firmware, autonomy, cloud, and apps to improve workflows and bottlenecks.
